Rachael & Jonny - A Ribble Valley Wedding at Gibbon Bridge Hotel
beautiful, relaxed and fun
Before the wedding...
This gorgeous pair met 10 years ago and after moving in together a few years later they adopted their gorgeous pooch Spike. Then in 2016, Jonny whisked Rachael off on a surprised weekend away to London for her 27th birthday.
Rachael says; “We went to see my favourite show – Les Mis on the first night away. I had a sneaky suspicion that he might propose but he didn’t which made me think otherwise. The next evening Jonny took me up t the top of The Shard. Just before we left he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After that we celebrated with drinks and a meal in one of the Shards restaurants.” Since then, Rachael & Jonny have been planning their wedding day at Gibbon Bridge Hotel.
The Ceremony
A Church wedding was a must for this lovely duo and they choose to incorporate both faiths into the wedding ceremony by having Jonny’s priest and Rachael’s Minister at the Church. This was a first for me and made for a beautiful, fun and relaxed service.
Details. Details. Details...
Their colour scheme on the day was navy and blush, with flowers by Fussposts in Whalley and stationary made by Rachael herself. Tables were named after London locations and tied in perfectly with the proposal.
The Wedding Car...
With so many personal touches throughout the wedding, I think my favourite had to be the surprise wedding car which Jonny choose for Rachael and her Dad to travel to the church in. This classic would then also accompany the set of retro rally cars driving the bridal party from the church to Gibbon Bridge Hotel.
